Luvin' Lunchbox Ideas


Some days there is just no time at all - here are some prepackaged items to keep stocked up in your house to literally throw together a lunch you can be confident in. These combo's are quick and easy, and get all the essentials together, like protein, calcium, fiber, vitamins, antioxidants ... and fun!

COMBO 1
2 Cheese sticks, light or low fat (may be any flavor)
1 medium bunch of grapes (any color)
6-8 high fiber crackers, like All-Bran (5 grams fiber per serving)
COMBO 2
Peanut butter cup, prepackaged like Jif
Apple Sweets precut apple slices for dipping (cinnamon flavor)
4 or 6 ounce lowfat yogurt/spoon (consider size and age of child)
COMBO 3
Quaker Breakfast Bar or Breakfast Cookie (5 grams of fiber)
2 Baby Bel mini cheese rounds
Mini box of raisins
COMBO 4
Peanut butter cup
Banana
Kashi Granola Bar
COMBO 5
All Bran Granola Bar
8 oz low fat yogurt
Fruit cup (Price chopper, Dole, etc.)

Experiment on weekends with new combos so you keep getting some new ideas. Write them on the calendar for the first month of school - then use that "list" to generate ideas over the course of the school year!
