The Place for Price Chopper Kids & Parents, Too!

Hi and welcome to my Just for Kids web site, home of our Kids Cooking Club! I'm Chopper, and I'm here to tell you about the great foods we have at Price Chopper, to play a few games, to color some cool pictures, to make some great recipes and best of all, to spend time with some of my friends. That's why I'd like you to meet one of my BEST friends, Jodie Fitz.

Happy New Year!
I hope your holidays were festive and fun, I'm excited now that the New Year has begun. We're back in the kitchen with plenty to share; it's on to good eats and tasty fare!

And, to help me do just that, I was joined at the Price Chopper Kids Cooking Club Kitchen with three new friends to help me kick-off the New Year. First, Taylor and I got together so that we could start off everyone's day with a little waffle fun. We made my waffle recipe that reduces the fat and refined sugars; the best thing is it's still delicious! You can watch us make this recipe by clicking here.. As you follow the link to the recipe, you'll find some fun ways to top it off along with tips on making this recipe ahead of time to avoid the morning rush hour.

Stephen joined me in the kitchen to show everyone that Smoothies are a great way to get even our younger friends involved in the process. Together we made my Strawberried Banana Smoothie. I LOVE smoothies and didn't want the New Year to start without a new blend of flavors to share. You can check out Stephen's smoothie making debut by clicking here.

To wrap things up Anna joined me to make my Magic Taco Meat. Magic Taco Meat is great for dinner, but better yet, we turned it into a fun, fast snack for the Super Bowl munchies. It can be used any time, maybe even movie night fun. Watch Anna and me make our tasty snack by clicking here.

I'm wishing you a fantastic start to your New Year and am looking forward to sharing more from the kitchen next month as we celebrate Heart Healthy Fun and Valentine's Day. Stay warm and have fun cooking at your kitchen counters this month.
