In our 24/7, activity-filled, wired world, sitting down to a meal together has become a rarity for all too many families. However, the benefits for families sitting down together at mealtime can be substantial.
That's why we're launching our 3rd annual Family Mealtimes Matter education effort with our partners at Cornell Cooperative Extension, Eat Smart New York, Hunger Free Vermont and the Learning Kitchen.
We'll be in select Capital Region and New York State Price Chopper stores from 10am-2pm on Thursday, October 20; and 11am-3pm Saturday, October 22, 2011, to share resources, information and giveaways for those who pledge to have more family meals.
Check out the 2011 toolkit brochures in all New York and Vermont Price Choppers for some great tips and ideas to make family meals an easy way to connect for all ages, and connect to nutrition, food assistance and health information in your area.
You can also download the previous toolkit here.
See us in the stores at Westgate, Cohoes, Gloversville, Catskill, Palatine Bridge, Hudson Valley Plaza, Saratoga, Cobleskill, Granville, Norwich, Cortland, Sidney, Owego, Saugerties, Clifton Park Shoppers World, Loudon Rd, Altamont Ave, and Eastern Parkway.
Family Mealtimes Matter all year long - let us help you share more with your family!
