Shopping Tips: Blemishes, dull-looking skin and mushy spots mark poor fruit. Fruit that's pale yellow or greenish-yellow is also suspect. Choose well-colored, plump apricots with fairly firm texture. Store unriped apricots on the countertop in a closed paper bag. Refrigerate ripe fruit. Apricots continue to ripen after harvest.Nutrition: Apricots are low in fatt, saturated fat free, sodium free and cholesterol free. They're high in Vitamin A and Vitamin C, and a good source of potassium.Availability
