Shrinking Our Footprint
You've probably seen them - the concentrated laundry detergents that use less packaging and deliver the same cleaning power. At Price Chopper, we're working with all of our laundry detergent suppliers to achieve "compaction" - the filling of new, smaller plastic containers with more highly concentrated forms of liquid detergent that require 32 percent less water and up to 23 percent less energy, not to mention less plastic packaging. Gone are the 300 oz. bottles of old; today, a 150 oz. bottles of concentrate will clean the same amount of clothing. This progressive program will also decrease the number of cases, pallets, trucks and gallons of diesel fuel needed to bring these products to you.
