Eco-Friendly Refrigerant Cuts CO2
Price Chopper's Malta, NY store is helping to reduce global warming by cutting its carbon footprint. The store uses a new hybrid refrigeration system that uses a glycol mix instead of 100 percent traditional refrigerant. The glyclol refrigerant is eco friendly and has no impact on the ozone layer. Its use custs traditional refrigerant use by 60 percent and over the next ten years it will avoid the release of 5,160 tons of CO2.
