Keeping it Green
Price Chopper is Growing Greener! Whether it's installing the latest energy efficient technologies, engaging associates to rethink the way they use resources, or aggressively developing partnerships with other sustainability focused companies and non-governmental organizations, Price Chopper is actively seeking to be an environmental leader in the supermarket business. We are very excited about our new corporate headquarters, which is being constructed in accordance to the USGBC's LEED® standards. It is our hope that this new facility will attain a LEED Gold rating. Our intention going forward is to make all new ground-up stores LEED silver certified or better! Our recently opened store in Colonie, NY is a showcase for many of our newest innovations including a fuel cell, more efficient dairy cases, advanced CO2 secondary refrigeration systems and natural lighting. Price Chopper also recognizes that one of our most important resources we have to support our sustainability efforts are our associates. To those ends, Price Chopper actively maintains a top down commitment that empowers associates to work towards a higher degree of environmental sustainability.

Price Chopper's Golub Foundation
Price Chopper's Golub Foundation provides financial or in-kind support for eligible non-profit organizations with a 501(c)(3) charitable status. Contributions are made through planned, continuing programs in the areas of health and human services, youth activities, arts and culture, and education, within Price Chopper marketing areas.
"Price Chopper allows me to give back to the community through various channels. I have been involved with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Agency for over 20 years. Their Workplace Mentoring program pairs associates with local middle school students in need of some guidance and friendship. We meet twice a month for activities at our main office. I love that Price Chopper offers plenty of opportunities to give back to the community with your time and talents."
