Health Benefits
Taking Care
Price Chopper offers part-time and full-time teammates access to Medical Benefits. Eligible teammates can choose from an MVP PPO or Indemnity Plan, Empire Total Blue HDHP or an HMO plan for a weekly premium on a pre-tax basis. Eligible teammates also have access to Life Insurance provided by The Hartford Life Insurance Company. The term life insurance core coverage varies by position with an opportunity to purchase additional coverage. Long and short-term disability insurance is also available to teammates for an affordable weekly premium.

Along with earned vacation (plus 6 paid holidays AND your birthday), Price Chopper also offers full-time teammates the opportunity to purchase up to two extra weeks of vacation per year. If you purchase vacation and decide not to use it, you simply sell it back. No you aren't dreaming, this is happening everyday at Price Chopper. We also offer our teammates personal and sick time benefits.


Education Benefits
Need to be Degreed?
If you are a full-time teammate with one-year of service you qualify for the company's Tuition Reimbursement program. Reimbursement can be as much as $3500 per calendar year! Price Chopper also offers three different scholarship programs and a 2-year scholarship to Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) for parttime teammates enrolled in the Business Administration Degree in Supermarket Management and Operations option program ... all you have to do is commit to a 2-year stint with us to qualify. A variety of management skill courses are also available in-house or online to qualified teammates.

Price Chopper is committed to offering all our teammates the tools to lead healthier lives. The Well@Work program offers a variety of practical wellness resources and programs to improve teammate health and well-being. Well@Work has implemented various programs including the Weight Loss Challenge and the Step Up Challenge in addition to a smoking cessation program which offers one-on-one counseling for people who are trying to quit. Some locations have also come up with their own programs to foster healthy behaviors. For example, one store developed a healthy lunch program to offer teammates an affordable healthy lunch option.
